What was the task
The client’s goal was to launch a loyalty program app in 14 cities to increase its average bill amount. Instead of an ordinary bonus accumulation system or cashback system, the key loyalty tool in this case is discount coupons.
First, we described the product requirements in detail. We collaborated with the designer on the client’s side and drew user scenarios based on the client’s references, our development experience in retail, and the interfaces of leading marketplaces.
We initiated active development of the application in April 2024. In addition to creating an app, middleware, and admin panel from scratch, our team interacted closely with the client’s IT department and contractors responsible for loyalty operations (card generation, coupon registration, communication with the cash register), user data processing, and integration with mobile operators. For the client’s marketing purposes, we provided admin panel functionality which marketing specialists could use to create any materials they wished.
The application had to be made in two languages at once. We were responsible for multilingualism, since we have experience in doing so.
Main functionality:
- Authorization, registration, and account setup
- User ratings determined by the number and amount of purchases
- Purchase history and receipts
- Promotions and discounts, active and inactive coupons
- Discount catalog sorted by category, product price, and discount amount
- Private interest clubs (family, healthy eating, etc.)
- Barcode scanner to find out how much particular goods cost (price checker)
- Displaying supermarkets on the map of a selected city
- Background information about the company
- Multiple languages
- Admin panel functions: User management, Content (banners, marketing articles) management and moderation, Adding links to documents (About the Company, etc.) and social networks
